New APK with a rebuilt terminal emulator path for TUI applications.
This test build moves the terminal toward a fuller emulator for tools such as Claude Code, Codex and other TUI programs. The goal is controlled interactive rendering without random flicker, lost history or unstable scroll behavior.
- stabilized entry and exit for TUI applications and the terminal history preservation mode,
- improved scrolling: typing from the top of history jumps directly back to the active prompt, while active output can be followed by touch,
- added support for ANSI backgrounds, extended colors, block graphics and transparency handling for terminal background layers,
- added settings and developer commands for mouse reporting and BEL sound, with mouse reporting disabled by default,
- expanded SSH/trace diagnostics to test Claude, Codex and later terminal programs without manually copying output.
This is still a prototype release. Next tests will cover nano, vim, mc, less and other fullscreen terminal programs.
A dedicated page explaining what Germux is has been added.
The new About page describes the creator, current state, goals and near-term directions: TUI packages, APK/dev tooling, servers, graphics, Source Translator and future website and app translations.
Germux 0.2.2-lockfix: local lock fix and versioned APK release.
This build fixes the local app lock: normal app switching no longer asks for fingerprint every time, and cancelling biometrics no longer opens Germux without PIN.
- fixed PIN/biometric lock behavior after restart or force stop,
- the stable APK link still works as
germux-latest.apk, but the downloaded filename carries the version, - the admin panel now includes recipe and server file download statistics,
- the release manifest now points to APK
0.2.2-lockfix, code27.
Germux 0.2.1-menu-pin: cleaner settings, local PIN lock and release cleanup.
This test build simplifies the main settings menu, moves terminal style controls into their own section, keeps terminal output as a separate item and places the Germux exit action at the bottom.
- added a local 4-8 digit PIN lock with optional biometrics after PIN setup,
- updated Polish labels and several app messages,
- kept the current smoother terminal output work and the started HDMI mode,
- the release manifest now points to APK
0.2.1-menu-pin, code26.
English website pages added.
The first static English page set was added under /en/ with language switches, hreflang links and sitemap entries. Dynamic JavaScript messages remain a later extraction task.
Repository and source project plan added.
The site now has a public direction for selected repositories, source projects, GUI apps, recipes, ports and documentation.
